Generally speaking, any exterior change to your home or lot must be approved prior to work beginning on the project. We are often asked the question “do I need approval”? Our simple answer is this – we recommend you submit an improvement request for any project in order to make sure it is acceptable to the Architectural Control/Design Committee and is in compliance with the Association’s rules.

The following items are needed in order to process your request:

A plot map showing the location of any change/improvement must be e-mailed (contact@spectrumam.com), faxed, or mailed to Spectrum Association Management.
Additional items may be required by the committee in your association.

I understand that prior to beginning work on any project I need approval from the Architectural/Design Control Committee (the name of this committee may vary). I also understand that I am responsible for complying with all city, county, and governmental codes and regulations (as applicable). I acknowledge that approval of a project by the association does not override any regulations or laws that require I get approval with a governmental agency. In addition, I understand that by approving a request the association is not issuing a decision on the structural integrity of my project(s). I know that I am completely responsible for the sound construction of any project done on my property.
